We humans can sometimes do more than we think possible. But 0.01% of the population is so important to this world that they will go down in history as a crucial part of the development of humanity. Elon Reeve Musk is one of these people.

You've undoubtedly come across the name Elon Musk before. He is the co-founder and CEO of the immensely popular car brand Tesla and has his own company SpaceX, with the aim of colonizing Mars (and other habitable planets). He is also the second richest man on earth ( Forbes 2021 ), behind only Jeff Bezos. His goal is to leave the world a better place than he found it.
It is of course wonderful to see where Elon Musk is now. But how did it all start? Of course, you don't become as immensely successful as he is from one day to the next... but perhaps with the right attitude, patience and of course the iron will that is needed to succeed.
Elon Musk was a true entrepreneur from a young age
From a young age, Musk was already actively thinking up and executing his business plans. For example, he developed one of the very first video games ever, called “ Blastar ”, together with his brother. They then sold the source code for no less than $500. Quite a lot for two children at that time.
What also not many people know is that Elon Musk, again together with his brother, founded a company called Zip2 (originally Global Link Information Network) at the age of 24. They wanted to help companies create an online presence. This was in 1995, a time when only a few companies saw the point of having a website.
They had a very difficult start-up period. Many customers refused their services, and they were even ridiculed by companies. Statements like “Internet? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard” were common. Eventually the company did become successful, and was sold for 307 million dollars , of which Elon received 22 million.
Elon Musk is responsible for the PayPal we know today
After selling Zip2, Musk immediately founded another company in 1999. This time with other partners and without his brother. An online bank called X.com – which merged in 2000 with what we now all know as Paypal. He became the CEO of this company and further developed Paypal into the most successful and well-known bank in the world. Not long after, in 2002, the company was sold to eBay for 1.5 billion dollars. Elon Musk himself cashed in a nice 180 million dollars.
Becoming as successful as Elon Musk
Elon Musk is a true inspiration. Someone who has fought immensely hard to make his companies successful. He has succeeded several times, so we can't speak of a lucky coincidence here. As Musk himself states:

He was a simple young man when he started at the age of twelve. And the same was true when he founded Zip2 at the age of 24. A normal young man with an idea. A goal. An inexhaustible willpower, and the ability to sometimes work 100 hours a week on his business. He was busy perfecting his business every moment of the day.
It seems impossible for most aspiring entrepreneurs to get where Musk is now. But it isn’t. What many entrepreneurs lack is a realistic goal. Something to work towards. And besides that, one should be less afraid of failure. The more you fail, the more you learn. Elon Musk has had countless setbacks, but has risen head over shoulders above them every time. Willpower. Something that everyone can learn from.
Improvement on Earth with Tesla
Tesla ( founded 2003 ) is one of Elon Musk's most successful companies, of which he is also CEO. Tesla is a car company known for its electric vehicles. Elon is in charge of all product design, engineering and global production of these vehicles. A lot of work, a lot of influence and a lot of stress. Just the way he wants it.
The goal is to eventually replace all fossil fuel cars and create a better living environment for all people. This is the so-called change that Musk always talks about. Here his quote comes in very handy again:

As we all know, we have little time left to improve the environment. It is now or never. And if it is up to Elon, it is now . Even with all the setbacks, he still goes for it 100% . Beautiful and inspiring to see.
Space is also not safe for Elon Musk with SpaceX
Why would humanity only live on Earth? Good question. Elon probably asked himself this question thousands of times before he and a few others founded the space company SpaceX.
With the well-known spacecraft “Starship”, Musk wants to develop a craft that can be a real game changer for space travel. A reusable transport system that can transport up to 100 people at a time, for example to the planet Mars.
The idea of SpaceX is to go multi-planetary. So simply put, colonize other planets. New raw materials, new possibilities…and of course an answer to the survival of man . Because nobody knows how long man can survive on earth.
Elon Musk's Future Plans
He wants to focus on SpaceX and Tesla, perfecting them further and probably preparing his successors to take his place. Because let's be honest, Musk himself is not the youngest anymore (50 years old), and someone else will have to fill his immensely big shoes and continue his vision for this planet (and all others).
It is safe to say that Elon is one of the most influential and inspiring people of our time. Someone who will probably still be talked about a thousand years from now, perhaps from their cozy little home on Mars.
